Fairmont Monte-Carlo

    Fairmont Monte Carlo

A modern icon built directly over the Mediterranean, the Fairmont Monte Carlo embodies Monaco’s dynamic spirit — a blend of luxury, excitement, and Riviera elegance. Opened in 1975 on the site of Monaco’s first railway station, this unique property stretches out over the sea, wrapping around the legendary Fairmont hairpin — one of the most famous corners in the Formula 1 Monaco Grand Prix. Originally opened as the Loews Monte Carlo, later known as the Monte Carlo Grand Hotel, it became part of the Fairmont Hotels & Resorts collection in 2005 following a complete renovation.

Today, the hotel stands as one of Europe’s largest and most celebrated resort hotels, offering world-class facilities, breathtaking views, and a location that truly places guests at the center of Monte-Carlo’s glamour.

    Location

Located at 12 Avenue des Spélugues, the Fairmont Monte Carlo enjoys one of the most enviable positions in the Principality. The hotel sits between the Mediterranean Sea and Monaco’s legendary Casino Square, only a five-minute walk from the Casino de Monte-Carlo, Café de Paris, and the Opéra Garnier.

Its unique seafront structure rises directly above the coastline, giving guests uninterrupted views of the Mediterranean Sea. During the Monaco Grand Prix, the hotel becomes one of the most sought-after addresses in the world, as the Formula 1 cars race around its perimeter — passing the famous hairpin curve located just below the hotel’s terraces.

    How to get there:

The hotel is approximately 35 minutes by car from Nice Côte d’Azur International Airport, or just 7 minutes by helicopter to Monaco Heliport, followed by a short transfer. Chauffeur service, valet parking, and private transfers can be arranged for all guests.
